    built in 1907, is a beautifully restored landmark that once served as a vital hub for Southern Pacific Railroad and now houses a museum and café

    Presidio San Agustin Del Tucson Museum 15 minutes · Admission included

    Founded in 1775 by the Spanish military, this fort was located along the Santa Cruz River, near the Native American village of “Chuk-shon.” The fort originally covered 11 acres and was surrounded by a thick adobe wall. Today, the museum sits on the site of the northeast corner of the original Presidio, which has been reconstructed to offer a glimpse into Tucson’s early history.
