Itinerary

Private tour
  1. 1
Gljufrabui Waterfalls 20 minutes · Admission included

Gljúfrafoss is a beautiful 40-meter waterfall hiding in a narrow secret canyon, just a few minutes away from Seljalandsfoss and the name Gljúfrabúi says it all but it transalates into “the one who lives in the canyon”. But be ready to be a little wet so bring extra socks.

  2. 2
Seljalandsfoss 30 minutes · Admission included

Seljalandsfoss waterfall is a powerful waterfall at the southcoast with a dramatic 60-meter (197 feet) drop. This amazing waterfall has a very unique structure since the cliffs behind the waterfall have a wide cavern, allowing everyone to fully encircle the waterfall from behind.

  3. 3
    Stop 40 minutes

Skógafoss, which means “forest waterfall’ in Icelandic’, is one of Iceland’s talles and most beautiful waterfalls, with dramatic 60-meter drop (197 feet), and one of the few waterfalls that can be viewed from the top and the bottom. A unique thing about Skógarfoss waterfall is that you can walk, or should we say climb to the top of the hill where the waterfall is coming down, only 527 steps. From there, you will be able to see how the waterfall forms, and will be greeted with a beatiful view over the waterfall. The land near the waterfall is very flat, allowing everyone to easily get close to this beauty which is so very unique, a lifetime experience.

  4. 4
Solheimajokull Glacier 50 minutes · Admission included

The magnificent Sólheimajökull glacier or the “Sun Home Glacier” like the name is in Icelandic. We will walk to the glacier, pass the glacial lagoon and stop in front of the glacier, so close that you can almost stretch to touch the green, blue, shiny icecold icebergs. Sólheimajökull is one of the most beatiful outlet glaciers in Iceland but melting fast like most of our glaciers so enjoy it while you can.

  5. 5
Reynisfjara Beach 40 minutes · Admission included

Reynisfjara – also known as the Black Sand Beach is the most famous black sand beaches in Iceland and we do have many. Black sand beaches form after repeated volcanic eruptions, slowly eroding the lava over thousand and millions of years. At the Black Sand Beach you will also see the amazing basalt columns. Basalt columns have a special shape because of the way the lava cools, very slowly and cracking in to this shape. It is very rare to find basalt columns like this anywhere else in the world.

  6. 6
Dyrholaey 30 minutes · Admission included

Dyrhólaey means “Door Hill Island” but this “island” is one of the best viewpoints over the South Coast. On a clear day you will see Eyjafjalljökull glacier as well as Mýrdalsjökull glacier on one side and the Black Sand Beach on the other. The waves of the Atlantic Ocean to your left and right trying to erode the land away. No matter the weather, a visit here is always something that shows you the Iceland nature in its pure form. And in summer this is one of the best places in Iceland to see puffins up close while they’re visiting Iceland.

  7. 7
Stop 15 minutes · Admission included

The Hjörleifshöfði cave or the “Yoda cave” is a nice extra stop close to the village of Vík. On our jeep we will drive on the black volcanic sand to the cave. It does not matter if you are a Stars Wars fan or not - the uniqe shape of the door is fun for everyone to see. Notice - in winter this stop may be cancelled if there is heavy snow on the track.

  8. 8
    Vik 20 minutes

The nice village of Vík is a must see when travelling the South Coast of Iceland. The most southernous town in Iceland and also the only one without a harbour - for a reason as you will see when we stop by the local church - also a very beatiful viewpoint over the village and Reynisdranger Sea Cliffs.
