Planning your first day in the Kennebunks? As you cruise along this 10- to 12-mile loop, you’ll stop to visit all the can’t-miss scenic and historic sites in town — and a few lesser-known gems, as well.
Your local guide will entertain you with larger-than-life tales and fascinating historical facts while allowing plenty of time to snap photos and absorb the breathtaking coastal Maine vistas.
From start to finish, this tour is pure, effortless joy aboard our well-maintained class 2 e-bikes. Four pedal assist options tailor the experience to your physical ability level, with an optional throttle for those moments when you would rather not pedal at all.
If you’ve never ridden an e-bike before, no worries. Your patient and personable guide will demonstrate everything you need to know before the tour begins and will continue to check in on you throughout the experience.

Itinerary
- 1Stop 10 minutes
We'll cycle through the Kennebunkport Historic District where sea captains and captains of industry once built their stately mansions. We'll pause to learn about one of the homes and stroll through a lush flower garden dedicated to one of America's favorite first ladies.
- 2Ocean Avenue Pass by
A breathtaking coastal route featuring rocky crags, crashing waves, sandy beach views, and splendid summer homes. It's the Maine coast encapsulated.
- 3St. Ann’s Episcopal Church 10 minutes
An iconic historic church, featuring stunning stone architecture, beautiful stained glass windows, and amazing ocean views. While we watch the sailboats go by, we'll talk about the history of the location and then take a peak inside.
- 4Walker's Point 10 minutes
The one-time "summer White House." We'll stop to take pictures and learn about the lives of Kennebunkport's most famous summer residents.
- 5Cape Porpoise Pass by
The tour will continue through the charming fishing village of Cape Porpoise, where European settlers first arrived in this area and where fishermen and lobstermen continue to ply their trades today.
- 6Stop 10 minutes
A working fishing/lobster pier featuring incredible harbor views. From here we can see the Goat Island Lighthouse, which dates back to the 19th century. You'll learn about the lighthouse's history and take pictures of the beautiful ring of islands surrounding the harbor.

- Participants must be able to ride a bicycle of any kind comfortably, sharing the road with vehicular traffic, for two or more hours with frequent breaks.
- Participants must be 16 years old or older. (Required by Maine law to operate e-bikes.)
