Overview
The Northern Lights are probably the most magnificent phenomenon that one can witness in nature.
And if you came all the way to Iceland in the wintertime, it for sure needs to be on your bucket list.
Just like any natural phenomenon, it can never be 100% guaranteed that the lights will come up when you are looking up at the sky. In order to maximize your chances, we will only conduct the tour if the conditions look epic.

We will drive far away from Reykjavík, to leave the lights of the city behind us and get the darkest skies we can find. Your guide will drive toward a place where weather forecasts are planning on having a clear cloud cover. This is the first thing you need to see the Northern Lights: No clouds. The next things you need are luck and patience: The luckier you are, the less patient you need to be! Fortunately, our guide will entertain you with nice Northern Lights stories and provide you with hot chocolate to keep you warm. This should help with the patience!

- Northern Lights can never be guaranteed. Refund will only be issued if you do not see any clear skies.
- We do not operate the tour unless the conditions (cloud cover, weather forecasts ...) are exceptionnal
- If Northern Lights do not show up, we will give up and return to Reykjavík at 2:30am latest.
- Please note that the winter nights in Iceland can be very cold, and it is required that you dress accordingly.
