- 1Lake Butte Overlook 30 minutes
Driving alongside the shore of Yellowstone Lake we climb the road to one of our favorite viewpoints for wildlife and vast scenery.
- 2Yellowstone Geysers - Mud Volcano Area 20 minutes
A short board walk to the Dragon's Mouth and a Mud Volcano show the power of the super volcano under Yellowstone.
- 3Hayden Valley 30 minutes
The open plains of this valley are home to large herds of buffalo, and we are keeping an eye out for the occasional sighting of moose, wolves and golden eagle as we drive through the center of Yellowstone.
- 4Norris Geyser Basin 45 minutes
The hottest geyser basin in Yellowstone it sometimes feels like we are on another planet and steam rises from this valley.
- 5Madison River Pass by
Flowing alongside the road with rolling meadows and frequent wildlife sightings as we make our way into the park.
- 6Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone 1 hour
Two of the largest waterfalls from multiple viewpoints. We take you to the best places to see both upper and lower falls.
- 7Fountain Paint Pot 30 minutes
Our first up close look at volcanic activity in Yellowstone. We step out onto the boardwalk to see bubbling mud pots, hissing steam vents, and a few geysers in action!
- 8Firehole Canyon Drive 25 minutes
We stop to take a photo of an awesome waterfall in the middle of a volcano rock canyon.
- 9Grand Prismatic Spring 45 minutes
One of Yellowstone’s most iconic sights. We stop at the Midway Geyser Basin to view Grand Prismatic Spring and Excelsior Geyser. We get a close up look at the scale of Yellowstone’s geothermal activity.
- 10Old Faithful 1 hour
Experience the iconic Upper Geyser basin and the world’s most predictable geyser erupt.
- 11West Thumb Geyser Basin 30 minutes
Walk the boardwalk along the shore of Yellowstone Lake, where vents and colorful hot pools produce large steam clouds right next to open water.
