It is known for its therapeutic properties, beneficial for the skin, muscles, and respiratory system — which explains the historical popularity of baths and treatments at the site. Steeped in local history and tradition, a visit to the fountain also offers insight into Sintra’s cultural heritage.

   Castelo dos Mouros Pass by

   Welcome to the Moorish Castle, an ancient fortress perched atop the Sintra Mountains. Built during the Moorish occupation, its sturdy walls and towers tell stories of battles and military strategy. From its ramparts, enjoy panoramic views of rolling hills stretching all the way to the sea. Please note that this will be only a brief stop — we will not visit the castle’s interior, and entrance tickets are not included.

   Park and National Palace of Pena 1 hour 30 minutes · Admission included

   Get ready to visit Sintra’s most iconic landmark — Pena Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site perched atop the mountain. Your experience includes the Essential Ticket, with access to the palace interior and surrounding park. Please note that the visit inside Pena Palace is self-guided, allowing you to explore the interior at your own pace.

   Centro Historico de Sintra 45 minutes

   Next, we’ll explore Sintra’s historic centre on foot, walking through its charming and emblematic streets. Along the way, you’ll discover traditional shops, local artisan crafts, historic buildings, and lively village corners that reflect Sintra’s unique character. You’ll also have the chance to enjoy a ginjinha, browse local and internationally renowned artisan crafts, and experience the authentic atmosphere of this UNESCO World Heritage town.

   Stop 15 minutes

   Stop at Casa Piriquita, Sintra’s iconic traditional pastry shop, and enjoy free time to taste the famous travesseiro and queijada. Food and drinks are not included and are available for purchase.

   Colares 1 hour 15 minutes

   Lunch stop in the Colares area, a traditional village between the Sintra mountains and the Atlantic coast. Guests will have approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes to enjoy lunch at their own expense before continuing the tour.

   Discover Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of mainland Portugal — and of continental Europe. Take this opportunity to capture stunning photos at the “end of Europe,” where the vast ocean stretches endlessly into the horizon.

The Atlantic stretches as far as the eye can see, creating a sense of vastness and freedom as you drive. As you travel along the road, you’ll feel the sea breeze on your face, connecting you directly with nature.     Guincho Beach Pass by

    A brief stop at one of the most famous beaches along the Sintra–Cascais coastline, where golden sands meet the powerful Atlantic waves. Enjoy a few moments to admire the breathtaking scenery, feel the ocean breeze, and capture memorable photos of this iconic coastal gem.

    Boca do Inferno 30 minutes

    The name “Boca do Inferno” (Hell’s Mouth) was given to this site due to its striking rock formation and the powerful, thunderous impact of the waves crashing against the cliffs — creating a dramatic and awe-inspiring natural spectacle.

    Known as the Portuguese Riviera or the “Sunset of Europe,” the town of Cascais truly has its own charm — it’s hard to find anyone who hasn’t fallen in love with its peaceful streets, elegant seaside mansions, or the colorful fishing boats gently resting by the shore.
