   Manastash Ridge is a prominent east–west mountain ridge in central Washington's Yakima Fold Belt, stretching roughly 50 miles across Kittitas and Yakima counties . It's composed of uplifted Miocene Columbia River basalt and forms part of a series of anticlines shaped by tectonic folding.

   VanArnam Vineyards (Zillah, WA) is a family‑owned, boutique winery established in 2007 on a sun‑exposed slope in the Yakima Valley’s Rattlesnake Hills AVA. They cultivate estate-grown Bordeaux and Rhône-style varieties—including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Malbec, and Tempranillo—focusing on small-lot, handcrafted wines made predominantly from free-run juice . The hilltop tasting room overlooks Mount Adams and Mount Rainier, featuring a courtyard with a seasonal Tin Roof Grill for food pairings .
