Introduction to Michelangelo's youth spent in Florence to learn from Bertoldo di Giovanni at Giardino di San Marco Sculpture School, founded upon wish of the Medici family and Savonarola's influence upon mature Michelangelo.
- 2Galleria dell'Accademia
At the Accademia you will admire Michelangelo's most iconic masterpiece: David, but also other memorable works: the powerful Prigioni (Captives), superb non-complete marble statues, where the marks of Michelangelo's chisels are still so well visible.
