During your visit, you’ll meet our well-trained pack llamas, learn how they’re raised, trained, and cared for, and discover why they’re such exceptional backcountry companions. Guests are encouraged to ask questions, take photos, and spend time up close with the llamas—each with their own personality and story.
Your guide will share insights into llama packing, ranch life in Montana, and how these animals are used for wilderness travel, conservation-minded recreation, and outfitting. Depending on the tour, you may even have the chance to walk a llama, see packing equipment, or watch a brief demonstration.

Our guides will meet you at our Bozeman location for a meet and greet with the Work Llama. Montana Llama Guides uses Classic Work Llamas to carry provisions on day hikes, day hikes and picnics and overnight backpacking trips.
