Overview

Explore the Mission District with someone who actually grew up here!

With one of the most vibrant culinary scenes in the world, our rich Latino heritage, and over 500 breath taking murals, no visit to San Francisco is complete without a visit to the Mission District.

This incredibly special neighborhood welcomed my mother when she immigrated from El Salvador during the 80’s. Many of the locations we will visit during our time together are hidden treasures my family and community have been cultivating for decades.

We’ll also talk about local traditions like Carnaval and our Dia de los Muertos parade, legendary institutions like Discolandia and Precita Eyes Muralists, and historical figures who left their permanent mark on the neighborhood, like Frida Kahlo and Carlos Santana.

Come hungry and leave happy- this experience is guaranteed to nurture your heart and soul!
