Led by a licensed local guide, the author of How to Read a Turkish Carpet, and a researcher pursuing a PhD in art philosophy, this private tour goes beyond a typical shopping experience. As a former teacher with years of experience in education, I enjoy helping people understand how handmade Turkish carpets carry meaning through symbolism, motifs, patterns, natural dyes, and traditional weaving techniques.
You will learn to recognize quality, understand motifs and colors, and see the difference between decorative rugs and truly meaningful works.

Learn to Read a Carpet Drawing from my work as the author of How to Read a Turkish Carpet, I guide you through the meanings behind motifs, patterns, and colors. You begin to see carpets not as objects, but as a visual language shaped by culture and belief. 4. Conclude with a personalized presentation of fine Turkish carpets in a serene setting.
